History

Townhead Carpets was founded in 1971 by James Lavrie. The original shop was 45 Townhead, Kirkintilloch.

The company originally sold floor coverings and furniture for many years but in the mid 1980′s decided to specialise on the flooring side only.

Today the company is run by Ian Lavrie (son of founder J. Lavrie) and Colin McIntosh (son in law of J. Lavrie).

We operate out of two locations, 15 Mugdock Road, Milngavie and at Campsie Road Industrial Estate, Kirkintilloch.

What we do

We offer a huge range of floor coverings in both soft flooring and hard flooring with price ranges to suit all pockets.

We also provide a full installation service for all types of floor covering, which includes a full uplift of existing flooring, disposal of same and, if required, we manage the furniture in the room.

We are members of the Carpet Foundation.
